Fine Mahogany Display Cabinet

1900 - 1920
Description

A large, superior quality Edwardian mahogany display cabinet in the Georgian Revival style of Robert Adam. Of inverted breakfront form with 2 concave doors to the centre. The moulded cornice having a wonderful carved frieze with shells and foliage. The glazed ends with decorative mahogany carved drapes and astragal glazing bars. The 2 concave doors having matching astragals with carved decorative ribbons and patrae below. The interior retaining the original back lining with 2 plate glass shelves and later green base fabric. The whole standing on 6 square tapered and reeded legs with spade feet. In excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. Sizes:- Width...57.75''/147cm. Height...73.5''/187cm. Depth... 16.75''/ 42.5cm. Transports in one piece. Delivery £120.
