Rare Edwardian Solid Silver Potpourri Box 1905

This SOLID SILVER POTPOURRI BOX was made by Samuel Jacob in 1905.

This large and unusual Potpourri Box has a superbly pierced foliate design hinged lid which stands on a plain sloping base standing on four lovely scroll feet. Its large size and sloping design make this a rare and very attractive item which could be used as intended, for potpourri, or as a lovely trinket box which would grace any dressing table or setting.

In excellent condition despite being over 110 years old, this superb piece is free from any added monograms, initials or engravings but does have a blank cartouche which could be used to personalise this stunning piece.
