Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1890s.

The domed top is beautifully engraved with an aperture for a serving spoon to one side.
These are perfect on a buffet to serve either hot (with hot water beneath) or cold (with crushed ice below) dishes; a very impressive addition to any occasion.

The underside is fully marked by the top notch silversmith, Walker and Hall, with the late letter for the 1898, a true late Victorian gem. Excellent condition, spanning 14" handle to handle x 10" and 9" tall.
