Description

A fantastic and top-notch example of a silver plated revolving top Breakfast serving dish standing on the four most decorative legs. The tops have an almost fleur de lys design and terminating at the bottom with scroll feet. These legs are joined by swags and oval medallions; quite extraordinary.

The domed top is beautifully engraved with an aperture for a serving spoon to one side.

When the knob at the front is pushed back the dome revolves to reveal the two original shallow trays. These are perfect on a buffet to serve either hot (with hot water beneath) or cold (with crushed ice below) dishes; a very impressive addition to any occasion.

The underside is fully marked by the top notch silversmith, Walker and Hall, with the late letter for the 1898, a true late Victorian gem. Excellent condition, spanning 14" handle to handle x 10" and 9" tall.
