Description

Early 18th Century walnut and herring bone banded chest on stand, the chest having a stepped moulded cornice above a combination of two over four graduated long elm lined drawers, including a single drawer to the stand, with foliate embossed brass drop handles, back plates and escutcheons, the stand having a wonderfully shaped apron running along the sides and front, supported by turned and shaped legs united by wavy stretchers and terminating in club feet. Circa 1740.
