Description

A very good quality Edwardian mahogany display cabinet. Well made in solid mahogany with decorative mahogany and flame mahogany veneers. Further decoration is afforded by the inlaid stringing and banding throughout. There is a single glazed door which opens to access a lined interior with 3 plate glass shelves. The top of the cabinet is decorated with a panel inset with flame mahogany veneers surrounding a central satinwood oval. The bottom section has a pair of cupboard doors which open to access a storage cupboard. The door fronts are decorated with mahogany veneers in a geometric pattern. All doors are lockable with a key being supplied. The whole cabinet stands on elegant tapering legs which terminate in spade feet. Whilst not stamped we are fairly certain that this cabinet is of sufficient quality to have been originally made by either Waring and Gillow or Maple and Co. It is offered for sale in excellent original condition, with a good colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.
