A 1930s Open Faced Pocket Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

An antique open faced pocket watch.

The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 10ct gold filled and was originally “guaranteed to wear 10 years”. The case is in very nice condition and the engine turned detail to the case back is still nice and crisp.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has a hairline crack running from the centre up to a small patch of damage on the perimeter but this is mostly covered by the bezel. There is also a short 3mm scratch but quite faint.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
