A beautiful Japanese Meiji period brass tray onlaid with brass & copper depicting a humorous scene of an egret attempting to swoop down on a bundle of goods, but being driven off by the owner wearing an decorated robe, banging a drum! This charming tray has a decorative chiselled backdrop and is in very good condition with no damage.
