A splendid English hallmarked sterling silver cigarette case dated 1916 out of London and made by Frederick Buckthorpe for Asprey of London, of rectangular form it is hinged at the back and concave around the sides to ease opening. This extremely well made case is engine turned on all sides with a lovely chased foliate border on the top, the case has a gilt interior with an inscription inside and is a good gauge at 130g, it is in excellent condition.
