Description

A stunning Victorian teak cabin trunk/coffee table with brass studded original leather corners, straps and carrying handles. The inside of this rare 19th Century cabin trunk is brass banded, and the interior has brass corner plates. In lovely clean condition, this trunk was made to a private commission by a family travelling to and from India in the late 19th Century and bears the brass inlaid initials of the owner. A wonderful and unusual item with a superb colour, perfect to use for extra storage or as a coffee table.
