19th.c. Rosewood Settee or Window Seat C.1870

Description

Delightful little 19th.c. rosewood settee or window seat retaining its original decorative upholstery c.1870. Low backrest and seat with wool work covers featuring large colourful flower heads, and a long tassel braid. On a rosewood base with carved detail at the centre and short legs ending in a scrolling foot and white ceramic castors. Some obvious wear to the covers otherwise excellent condition. The seat has been patched and re webbed and a new chord trim attached. The frame has been cleaned and polished in our workshops.
