Rosewood Serpentine Bachelors Chest

Description

A wonderful, and quite rare, rosewood chest of compact proportions. Very well made with striking rosewood veneers applied onto a solid mahogany carcas. This chest has the added interest of being serpentine fronted. There is an arrangement of 2 short over 3 longer drawers which provide ample storage capacity. Each is fitted with its original ornate solid brass handle. The whole chest stands on charming carved squat cabriole legs. We have had this chest sympathetically repolished to a very high standard. It now has a wonderful rich colour and patina and is offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home.
