Description

A Silver and Tortoiseshell Box.

The oval box with a hinged lid, the top with a panel of tortoise shell, surrounded by a silver egg and dart decorated rim, and rounded mould edges. The body of conforming shape, with likewise rounded mould edges, standing on four scrolled bracket feet, decrorated with open flower heads. The interior with green velvet lining. Hallmarked for Edward Souter Barnsley, Birmingham 1921.
