English Hallmarked Silver & Tortoiseshell Pill Box - 1910

A particularly charming hallmarked sterling silver pill box dated 1910 assayed in Birmingham and made by Levi & Salaman, circular in shape it has an ‘hour-glass’ form with a rear hinged lid and a cabochon cut Ruby thumb tack. The top of the lid is finished with tortoiseshell and silver pique work with a swag and bow design engraved with the ditty “LOVE ME and HAPPY BE”, this beautiful box has a gilt interior and is in excellent overall condition.
