Silver Egg Cup & Spoon Set With Case Birmingham 1939/40

A superb and very fine silver egg cup and spoon set. Lovely simple design with no engravings or embossing to the silver. The only decoration is a double band around the top rim of the egg cup. Clear hallmarks and maker''s marks are visible on the egg cup Birmingham 1939 and on the back of the spoon handle Birmingham 1940. Maker''s mark: Wm. Suckling Ltd.
This lovely set comes in a brown leatherette case with brass fastener. When opened the inside top of the box is lined in lovely cream satin and the base is a deep black velvet.
Condition: Both the egg cup and the spoon are in excellent used condition. The case is also in excellent used condition; nice and clean inside and excellent brown leatherette finish to the outside. The brass fastener works perfectly.
Hallmarks: Birmingham 1939, by maker: Wm. Suckling Ltd.

Egg cup: 5.07 cm x 4.64 cm approx.
Spoon: length: 10.5cm
Measurements of box: 11.5cm x 14 cm x 6.4 cm approx.
