French Rosewood Bombe Chest

Description

A very fine quality French rosewood bombe chest , or chevet. Of excellent construction with attractive rosewood veneers onto a mahogany carcas. The chest is of delicate proportions and is embellished with crisp brass ormolu mounts throughout. The shaped top is cross banded and decorated with fine inlaid detailing. The drawer fronts, sides and rear of the chest are all decorated with parquetry work panels. The three drawers are all lockable with a key supplied. The slender, shaped, legs are united by an under-tier which is also decorated with inlaid detailing. This pretty and fine quality chest is offered for sale in excellent condition , with a lovely colour, ready to go straight into the home.
