Camden Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The serpentine shaped top is fitted with a sumptuous brown leather writing surface and is surrounded to the edges with carved gadrooning. There is a central long drawer, flanked by a pair of shorter, deeper drawers. This pair of drawers are compartmentalised. The whole table stands on elegant cabriole legs with carved detailing to their knees and terminating in "hairy paw" feet. The table is finished to the back so could be free standing within a room if desired. It is offered for sale in excellent condition, with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home or office.
