French Boulle Bracket Clock with Verge Escapement

Description

An extremely fine quality and rare Louis XV boulle engraved brass and natural coloured tortoise shell bracket clock with gilt brass mounts, cupid finial and a pair of birds to the door stood on scroll feet with side viewing windows.

The clock has a 6 inch decorative cartouche dial with enamel numerals and a 14 day verge escapement timepiece movement with silk suspension. The clock also has pull repeat action that strikes the hours and quarters on three bells.

The clock movement and dial is signed with the makers name:-

The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced.
