The beds have been constructed in the middle of the 19th Century, they are very sturdily constructed with cast iron fittings. Each bed has tall posts at the head end supporting a cornice with 16th Century carved finials, the beds has red brocade hangings, in the centre of which is a hand embroidered coat of arms, these could be replaced with your own choice of drapes.
It would be relatively simple to convert these 2 beds into, 1 x 7ft wide bed if required, they each take a standard 3ft6” x 6ft6” single mattress, the hangings are 3ft6” x 3ft3”
The over all size of each bed is 80” tall, 48” wide, and 84” long, we will supply either 2 single slatted bases to a 7ft wide one, which ever is preferred
