An Antique Waltham Full Hunter Pocket Watch, 1912

An antique Waltham full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed and the serial number 18,468,915 dates it back to 1912. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was made by the Crescent Watch Case Company of New York. It was completely normal for the movement and case to originate from different sources, to be assembled and subsequently retailed. The case is in good condition with just one small “ding” to the back.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in lovely condition. It is very common for the original glass lenses to be replaced and we see this often… it is difficult to tell the difference as they look so similar but they are a lot more durable.

The signed white enamel dial is in good condition with just a faint hairline crack to the edge between 11 and 12 but difficult to see with the naked eye. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
