A Victorian Silver Mounted Scent Bottle.

Description

A lovely Victorian silver mounted cut glass scent bottle. The glass body has intricate starburst and hobnail cutting with silver screw thread. The hallmarked lid is repoussé in design and features a vacant cartouche to the top and original cork seal to inside. A charming, collectable piece.

Condition :- Very good, with no dents or splits to the silver. There is one small bruise to the glass by the base but due to the cutting is difficult to spot.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable.

Date :- Birmingham 1897.

Maker :- C C May & Sons.

Diameter :- 1.75 cms.

Height :- 6.5 cms. (highest point).
