A Swiss Open Faced Silver Pocket Watch with Chain

1900 - 1920
Description

A Swiss open faced silver pocket watch with chain.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for Birmingham 1923 with a maker’s mark for the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case is in very nice condition with just some rubbing to the engine turned detail from use. There is a small vacant cartouche to the back.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The white enamel dial is in lovely condition.

The watch comes with a silver chain which is earlier than the watch, hallmarked for 1897. The chain measures 35.5cm long including the T-bar and the clasp, and it weighs 30g.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
