A splendid pair of Japanese iron Komai style plaques from the Meiji period inlaid with silver and gold damascene work, one panel depicts boat at work with undulating land in the background, the other depicts a Bijin being pulled along in a rickshaw with mount Fuji in the background. Both plaques are particularly heavy standing by their original easels and both are in good original condition
