A Marvellous Edwardian Silver 'Fishing Reel' Inkwell.

1900 - 1920
Description

A marvellous Edwardian silver inkwell in the shape of a fishing reel. This wonderful piece is fully dismountable giving access for cleaning and the removal of the glass reservoir. The hinged lid gives access to the reservoir which is star cut to the underside. Four quill or pen holders are pierced through the top to allow them to drip any excess ink back into the reservoir. The body features a rib with banding above and below. The banding is echoed to the large flat base. A quality piece and excellent collectors item.
