Description

Fine Marquetry Walnut Davenport Profusily Inlaid With Flowers. Early Victorian Circa 1850 With Wellington Chest Side Lockers On The Drawers. The top of the davenport has a very nice fretted wooden gallery. The rising fall has inlaid flowers surrounding the talled leather insert and when opened it reveals four drawers and ampul storage for papers etc. The sides of the top is also inlaid with flowers. Below this it has an elaboratly made panel and on either side fine hand carved cabriol supports. 1 side of the davenport has four drawers with a side locking action the other side it has dumby drawers. The right hand side also has a pull out pen slide this is a fine example of victorian craftsman ship. The davenport is in an untouched condition as shown in the pictures.
