Description

A very fine 36 drawer late victorian collectors cabinet in mahogany with inset, military style

Lacquered brass handles to all drawers.

This cabinet was supplied by leonard tatchell, f.r.s. Naturalist. 43 sprat-hall road. Wanstead. E.11 circa 1900. Tatchell was a well known supplier of natural history items and equipment and a fellow of the royal society.

This cabinet is in superb condition and although originally designed for the use of an entomologist, will serve a multitude of collecting pursuits admirably. The 36 drawers run beautifully smoothly and the cabinet has all the original handles, glass and key.
