A Gents 1950s Omega Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Omega wrist watch.

The watch has a calibre 266 hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 14,534,802 dates it back to around 1955.

The watch itself measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition for a 1950s piece with just minor surface marks and evidence of a thread through strap to the case back. The shaped lugs are a particularly handsome feature. The inner case back has the Omega triangular stamp and also the case reference 2488-5 which is correct for the movement. The winding crown has the Omega logo.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish… there is light marking but nothing too detrimental at all. Original dauphine shaped hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
