Attractive Oak Wine Table, Occasional Table

1900 - 1920
Description

It is not common to find a little pedestal wine table in oak from the late 1800s or early 1900s. Most seem to be in mahogany and indeed we have one coming into our showrooms in the next few days. This oak one shown in the pictures has a most unusual pedestal base which is carved and it sits on cabriole legs which have a rather nice scroll detail on each foot.

In tidy but unrestored condition it not expensive at £195 and it is an item that could sit in a period cottage or house without being out of place. A 18th Century one is likely to cost much more of course. It is solid and the finish is nice and tidy, no ring marks or stains.
