Description

A charming burr walnut bureau of compact proportions. Of fine construction in solid walnut and attractive burr walnut veneers onto a solid oak carcas. This bureau is a faithful copy of an original from the William and Mary period, it has all of the right style features and is of a highly desirable size. The top, fall front and drawer fronts are all cross banded. The fall front opens to access a fitted interior with small drawers, a central cupboard (lockable) and secret compartments. When open it is supported by a pair of pull-out loppers. There is a series of two short over three long graduated drawers, all fitted with their original brass hardware, all lockable with keys supplied. The whole bureau stands on nice bun feet.

This lovely bureau is offered for sale in excellent original condition, with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.
