A Burr Walnut Victorian Period Burr Antique Work Table.

Description

A burr walnut Victorian Period burr antique work table. Having a shaped top veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut which swivels and opens to reveal a back gammon and chess board inlaid in tulipwood, satinwood and other exotic woods, above a boxwood and velvet lined fitted drawer and a pencil pleated silk lined sliding sewing box. Supported on fine acanthus carved and turned columns, carved cabriole supports with brass and porcelain castors and united by a turned walnut stretcher England circa 1860

Condition: This games/sewing table is in superb condition, the top has been re-polished and the work box re-lined
