Hand of Glory has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
Barnard, London, 1798. Printed on cream-coloured laid paper. With watercolour and gilt lined mount within a 'Hogarth' type frame.

Depicts Horatio Nelson shortly after the retaking of Naples, with the Turkish chelegk in his hat. He is standing on land surrounded by plants, with one hand holding hat and sword and the other sleeve, empty of his arm, pinned to his chest.
Size: 64cm x 40 1/2cm to the plate mark and 85cm x 61.5cm including frame.
Condition is good overall, unfaded with defined tones, wide margins, some creasing at the bottom.
