A superb and unusual example of a heavy cast bronze letter opener, an impressive piece for the most important of desk-tops.

Beautifully executed, the regal handle is in the form of an Eagle's head sporting a glass eye. The bronze is signed by L. Levee and dates to around 1900.

Excellent condition, measuring 10" in length x 2 1/2" wide.
