19th.c. Mahogany Cloak Cupboard or Child’s Wardrobe C.1880.

Description

Very smart small late 19th.c. mahogany cloak cupboard or child’s wardrobe c.1880. Just 63" tall with a crisp moulded cornice over a single door fitted inside with a sliding front to back hanging rail and single shelf for shoes etc. (internal width 23", depth 14"). In solid mahogany with narrow vertical panels with shaped mouldings and raised on a plinth base. Note the cornice continues on the rear which is also panelled and polished to match the front suggesting the piece was designed to stand away from the wall perhaps. Excellent condition with some earlier repairs and adaptions. Cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
