Antique Oil Painting - Avenue of Cherries

Description

Signed oil on panel showing a avenue of flowering cherry trees by Belgium artist Tony Reniers Lovely colours and mounted in a quality wooden frame. The painting is in excellent condition and dates from around 1950-1960.

Tony Reniers - Belgium School - was a student of Lucien Hock and was well known for his landscapes and painted with an impressionist touch. He painted in Belgium, Provence and the UK and exhibited at the gallery 'Le Regent' in 1950 and 1964. The Tony Reniers Foundation, which was founded to safeguard his paintings and sketches is still in existence.

Listed in Piron Dictionary of Belgium Artists.
