A 1918 Silver Hexameter Pocket Watch

A 1918 silver Hexameter pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Hexameter name… there is some thought that this could have been a private label name, or the UK import name, for Thommen watches but we can find no definitive evidence of this. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1918 with a maker’s mark for the Dennison Watch Case Company . The case is in nice condition with only a couple of small "dings" to the back cover where the loope has knocked. The case back has initials to the central cartouche.

The watch glass is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark from use.

The white enamel dial is in beautiful condition, and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
