An excellent antique solid sterling silver Georgian serving or table spoon from a renowned family of silversmiths.
 
The spoon is hallmarked on the reverse of the finial for London 1803, with the maker''s mark of Peter, Anne & William Bateman. It is in the Old English Pattern and has italicised initials to the finial. The silver is in good condition, with no tears or dents.
