Edwardian Silver & Cut Glass Jar Birmingham 1909

A very pretty silver and cut glass Edwardian jar. The silver top is decorated with an Orchid flower and is finely gilt on the underside of the lid. It bears clear makers marks for William Davenport and hallmarks for Birmingham 1909 which can be seen on the top of the silver lid. The glass is cut with a diamond shaped pattern.
 
 
CONDITION (see photos):
 
In very good used condition. No damage to the glass or silver top, just a coupld of light dimples around the edge of the silver lid. The gilding is in good condition, the hallmarks and maker''s marks are very clear.
 
 
HALLMARKS: William Davenport Birmingham 1909.
