Edwardian Silver Inkwell Stand 1905

This excellent quality antique inkstand is made from a solid sterling silver oval boat like shape base or stand that has a raised relief rim and it stands on four claw shaped legs. It has a raised oval shape recess within the centre of its body that houses a removable oval facet cut and lineal clear cut glass inkwell and the inkwell has a solid sterling silver mounted upper rim with a piano hinged sterling silver lid that opens to reveal the internal ink reservoir.

Neither the inkwell nor stand have been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram and this lovely piece is in superb condition despite being over 110 years old and it would make a superb addition to any cabinet or desk top collection or a lovely gift for someone.
