A Burr Walnut Victorian Period Antique "Pop Up" Davenport.

Description

A burr walnut Victorian Period antique "pop up" davenport. The raised spindled gallery to the pop up section which opens to reveal an internal shelf with a pierced fretwork gallery and a well fitted interior for stationery. Having a "piano" hinged front veneered in the finest burr walnut and opening to reveal a leather lined writing surface, pen tray, ink wells and two satin birch drawers. The right hand side having four mahogany lined drawers with turned drawer pulls, the left hand side having dummy drawers. The front veneered in the finest burr walnut and with two carved and turned column supports. The whole supported on a burr walnut veneered plinth with bun feet and concealed brass castors England circa 1870
