William Greatbatch Creamware “fruit Basket” Teapot - 1765

A charming 18th century teapot of ovoid form with foliate moulded spout and ear shaped handle, the body moulded with various fruits heightened in blue, green, manganese and ochre underglaze-oxides above trellis and basketwork sides. The cover moulded with a square basketwork panel edged with blue scrolls, with a flower head knop.

Condition: One minor chip to the rim of cover. Two minor chips to the internal underside of cover (see photo’s).
