A Gents 1920s Silver Waltham Wrist Watch

Description

A gents 1920s silver Waltham wrist watch.

The watch has a fully signed hand-winding movement, grade 361, which is working nicely. The serial number on the movement dates it back to 1928.

The watch itself measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for Birmingham 1928 with a maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison who was making watch cases in England (he was formerly involved in Waltham when he resided in America). The front and sides of the case are in good condition with just minor surface marking, and there is some unevenness to the case back.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The signed white enamel dial is in lovely condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
