The wooden rudder with a top board fitted with a pair of brass steering pulleys, the rudder blade painted 'CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY WINNING TEAM' 'PUTNEY TO MORTLAKE' '1900' 'WON BY TWENTY LENGTHS, TIME 20 MINUTES, 14 SECONDS'.
