Description

Handsome set of six late 19th.c. oak dining chairs c.1890. Carved and shaped cresting rail over pierced back splats and further carvings, moulded stiles topped with turned finials. Over a generously proportioned sprung seat freshly upholstered in a black velvet. Raised on turned and reeded front legs on original brass and ceramic castors. Unusual bleached timber sealed with a clear wax leaving a good looking distressed finish. Some old splits to the legs on a couple of chairs, however they remain solid and sturdy and ready for purpose.
