A charming Japanese mixed metal koro from the Meiji period standing on three feet it is onlaid with different metals depicting flowering plants around the body of the vessel over which butterflies of different sizes can be seen giving the scene a sense of depth. This splendid koro comes with its cover finished with a Dog of Fo finial.
