A charming example of a William IV solid sterling silver pounce pot, or sander.
Hallmarked for London 1836, with the makers'' mark of Richard Pearce & George Burrows, the hallmarks inside the lid are sharp, whilst those on the body are slightly rubbed.
Bulbous in shape, the silver features foliate swirls with rope twist effect around neck and is in excellent condition, as is the gilding inside.
