Very substantial timbers of great age and left roughly hewn to unseen surfaces.
The two cupboards retaining original shelves and with original carved fruitwood thumb turns which have been beautifully smoothed by generations of use. All set on original style feet. Huge planks of fruitwood form the back boards and the whole is very robust and solid, and extremely heavy.
Minor dings and marks, a small number of old worm holes (very few and long since dead), a small batton in oak has been added at the bottom of the dresser rack where it meets the base. This is removable and appears to have been added to keep the rack backboards from splaying.
The colour and grain exceptional. A really beautiful piece of early furniture.

Width is 57.5 inches max at the cornice, 16 inches deep at the base and 86 inches high.
The rack is 10 inches deep and lifts off the base at 39 inches from the floor for ease of transport.
