Pretty early Worcester lobed dessert dish with gilded rim and painted in a French green enamel in a band around the rim with sawtooth inner edge mirroring an inner ring framing a conventional flower with gilded stem and leaf decoration, c.1770. Illustrated in ''Coloured Worcester Porcelain Of The First Period'' by Marshall, plate 33, item 711.
It measures 21.3cm (8 3/8'') wide and 3.5cm (1 3/8'') high.
Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration. Light surface wear to the gilding and some slight dulling to the enamel as often occurs with these green enamels. There is a small section of the rim on the reverse with discoloration and a short firing hairline (shown fully in the final photo).
