Royal 9th Lancers Meat Dome, Elkington 1881

Description

A grand English Victorian silver plated meat dome from the mess hall of the 9th (The Queen's Royal) Lancers (first raised in 1715 and amalgamated with the 12th Lancers in 1960. Has gardrooned decoration to the edge and beautifully engraved crest for the 9th Lancers on the front. Made by the renowned maker Elkington & Co with date mark for 1881.

Worldwide, first class, tracked and signed for delivery is included in the price.

Measurements:

Height (to handle): 11 1/2" (approx 29cm)

Length: 18" (approx 46cm)

Width: 13 1/2" (approx 34.5cm)

In good condition - any dark areas are shadows from the photography, there is no damage or wear to the silver plate. Dulling spray has also been used to avoid reflection from photography, the silver plate is actually much clearer.
