Superb quality George II style walnut desk or writing table c.1920. 48" x 27" top featuring symmetrically arranged burr walnut veneers, a crossbanded edge and herringbone inlays on solid oak groundwork. Over five drawers around a shaped kneehole, also in burr walnut and crossbanded with original brass handles. Shaped apron to the front and sides and raised on cabriole legs front and rear, in solid walnut carved with a scallop detail to the knee and an unusual foot. Polished on the rear. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
