Lovely Dr wall period leaf shape dish with moulded handle as a branch. Veined moulded finish painted with a scale blue ground and with various white reserves painted with sprays of European flowers. Gently curved and set on a deep collet foot, marked to the base with blue fretted square mark, c.1770.It measures 19cm (7 1/2'') by 16cm (6 1/4'') wide and 5.5cm (2 1/4'') high. Condition is very good: there is a tiny repair (2mm) on the underside of one of the tips at the rim but no other damage or restoration. Surface wear is very light including just a couple of tiny glaze flakes at the rim.
