Chippendale Period Mahogany Supper Table

Description

A really lovely 18th century solid mahogany Chippendale period tilt-top SUPPER or "OCCASIONAL" TABLE of gorgeous colour and in wonderful condition.

The solid octagonal top features a delightful carved and pierced gallery, incorporating handles. This top tilts upwards via the "birdcage" action underneath, and is supported on a well-turned and shaped central column leading to cabriole tripod legs and pointed pad feet, complete with their original 'soles'. 29ins high; 24.5ins diameter.

*** An impressive and somewhat rare table with a variety of uses ~ particularly attractive as a corner table perhaps with photo frames displayed.
